Valentine's Day celebrated here, there...everywhere

Saint Valentine's Day,The reason why most kidney stone form is not known. commonly known as Valentine's Day is the annual holiday on Feb. 14. This holiday is not exclusive to the United States. Here are a few examples of how two Asian countries celebrate this holiday.

In China, Valentine's Day is held on July 7. The date is decided by a famous myth in China. It is about a love story about a pair of lovers separated by God. However, the Chinese have also begun celebrating the western Valentines Day too.

"We usually buy heart-shaped chocolate for each other, and we also go to the theatre to watch movies [with] a big bag of popcorn and two cups of soda," said Suya Yan,Offers Art Reproductions Fine Art oil painting reproduction, a photographer in China. "I hope he could buy me 22 roses this year because I am going to be 23. Some guys buy 99 roses, beautifully packaged."

Valentines Day in Japan is similar to the traditional Chinese but still different in its own way. Most Japanese buy black or white chocolates from the supermarket, chop them into small pieces, melt it, and pout it in different shapes or molds in order to create a unique chocolate. "I need a lot of courage to give the chocolate to the one I like," said Kuran Yuuki, a sophomore in the Japanese high school Kuroba Kakuyan. "It is exciting. I like it!"

Kaimuki High has its own way of celebrating this holiday. Several options abound for KHS students on Valentines Day. Mylar balloons are being sold in the Student Activities Center. Extra large balloons are $12, Large balloons are $7, medium and small-sized balloons are $3 and $1 respectively. Those purchasing balloons will get to have them delivered to their "sweetheart" that day during class.

Roses are also available for purchase at the S.A.In a conductor, electric current can flow freely, in an Insulator it cannot.C. The prices for a rose range from $4 to $5 depending on the type of rose and when the rose is purchased. Roses purchased on Valentine's Day will be $5.

The Crush Wall has also graced the entrance wall of the S.A.C. over the past week. Students can purchase hearts with their own personal message and have it displayed on the wall for their crush.Search and purchase original Projector Lamp and bulbs at discounted prices. A crowd of students is usually gathered around the wall probably curious to see what's on the hearts but also hoping to find a message from a secret admirer.

Senior Di Bin Huang is looking forward to see how the school will look like this Valentine's Day. "Though I don't have a girlfriend, I'm still excited about that day."
